Pros

Smaller company, so they're like family. Only audited twice a year unless something else is going on to require more frequently. Unlike many other coding companies, you're not treated like you're disposable. If you don't do as well on an audit you're not automatically put on probation, or let go. They do everything they possibly can to work with you to get you where you need to be, providing additional education, etc. Top notch reviewers who do the audits. Site where all of our education questions are stored, so we can go back and look at previous ones, and easily, quickly get our own questions answered. Your birthday is one of several paid holidays.

Cons

Orientation period is brutal. Orientation may be extended if not meeting production requirements and quality requirements. Do not get PTO or paid holidays, even after 90 days, if not through orientation period. Most of the clients you will work for are harder hospitals, with really challenging production requirements.

Orientation can be different for everyone. We do extend orientation for new employees to get additional one on one training and to make sure they are successful. We also assign buddies to help new staff transition to working with our more difficult clients.

Pros

There is plenty of work to keep your day busy, but not overwhelming. In my experience there is no micromanaging. You are treated as an able adult with trust that you will get your work completed. Flex scheduling and ability to take off without feeling like a burden when requested. Birthday holiday on top of all national holidays off. You can also use these days on other days if desired and not the actual holiday. Lots of education/CE hours provided along with professional dues paid. Remote positions. Disneyworld Family Reunion to celebrate their 30th anniversary.

Cons

No overtime offered for those wanting to work extra hours. I have not experienced any monthly/quarterly bonus since working here. Medical insurance benefits are expensive.

Thank you for your comments. We do share any overtime available with staff. We ask that staff let us know if they are interested in working overtime. We do have excellent health insurance and are working on educating all staff to take full advantage of the benefits available. At the same time, we negotiate to get the lowest cost possible while maintaining the best coverage.
