Pros

Leadership support -- Provide opportunities to take on additional responsibilities and career advancement -- Advocates an open door policy from executive leadership on down -- Support maintaining work/life balance -- Cultivate an atmosphere that encourages people who are self starters as well as open and willing to learn to pursue opportunities for growth within the organization Co-workers -- Intelligent, friendly, knowledgeable, and hard-working with diverse work experiences -- Camaraderie, laughter, and monthly social activities help to keep the atmosphere light -- Always pursuing opportunities to collaboratively improve processes to achieve program goals Work -- The programs we support are very interesting and in the long run will improve the implementation and assessment of quality improvement initiatives nationwide. -- I have worked in healthcare for over 15 years, and love the fact that each and every day I still learn something new. -- Opportunities to work with people who bring something different to the table: experienced nurses, business requirement analysts, technical writers, biostatisticians, administrative staff, project managers Compensation and benefits are competitive

Cons

Given the contract nature of the work and the various other support contractors with whom we work to support quality programs, it can be challenging to progress through the review/approval/publication process as quickly as one would hope. This is not a reflection on HSAG as a company but rather the nature of the contract environment in which we work.

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your thoughts about HSAG. You are right, the past year was characterized by a great deal of change and it has been fantastic to see how our resilient our staff members have been as we shift into a new contract cycle. We are pleased to hear that you have noticed and appreciated the increased engagement by our management team. HSAG is growing so quickly and it is our goal to continue to find avenues to connect executive leadership with staff members across the organization!

50 Shades of Decay..

Pros

HSAG is very attractive. The office is in a beautiful clean and modern building with exhilarating city views. They try hard to woo you in and keep you there. You might be into this kinda thing. Especially if you're in control.

Cons

Management is abusive. HSAG puts on a good show - cut and pasting the previous year's reports to re-send to CMS. Even on this page you can see that managers have written the majority of positive reviews. Unless you have other options your career will go downhill here.

We are disappointed to hear that your experience at HSAG was not a positive one. We are also alarmed to hear that you considered management “abusive” and uninvolved. On the contrary, our management team works hard not only to treat all of our staff members with respect, but also to get involved in the work – often down to the granular level. Our managers take pride in being on the front lines alongside their teams. As an organization, we also take extreme pride in our work with and for CMS. It is both untrue and defamatory to suggest that we “cut and paste” previous reports and resubmit them to CMS. HSAG is an ethical, responsible company and we are focused on improving quality of care for Medicare beneficiaries; our reports reflect our current and continuing work in this regard. NOTE: We are very troubled by the persistent negative reviews being posted on Glassdoor. We realize that user-driven social platforms like this invite criticism, particularly when anonymity is guaranteed. These defamatory reviews simply do not reflect the true nation of HSAG. However, we appreciate the feedback and are actively working to ensure that current employees are satisfied with their jobs, feel valued by peers and management, see opportunities for growth and promotion, have access to training, believe HSAG to be an ethical, responsible organization, and feel appreciated by executive leadership.
