Terrible Company for a Doctor

Pros

Flexible schedule is the only positive I can think of.

Cons

The lack of respect and regard for the physicians that bring in the money is astounding. The pay out is pathetic. No PTO, travel reimbursement $.40/ mile after 50 miles is not even IRS amount. They think they own you for a full 8 hours. They have higher regard for their hourly staff than the doctors that keep the company running. Do not provide assistants as they say it makes the doctors lazy. In reality if you give a doctor an assistant they can see more patients generating more revenue. CEO is not the sharpest tool in the shed. I could go on and on but I think you have an idea to stay away.

Pay is truly pathetic

Pros

Schedule is very flexible - good if you have a family, but don't expect the money you make to really put a dent in your family/home expenses. If you have a high-earning partner, this job might work well for you.

Cons

Pay is 100% commission with W-2 tax status: 30% of whatever you gross in billing. Your take-home will not allow you to support a family, pay your loans, save for retirement, or own a home. Benefits suck (although where don't benefits suck these days?). You will need to see at least ~50 pts/day to even get close to $100k/year (and get NO paid vacation or paid sick days). Lots of driving - you do get some mileage reimbursement, but it won't actually cover gas costs to get you to and from where you have to go, let alone wear-and-tear on your vehicle.
