Pros

Good work-life balance. Everyone who works here is amazing.

Cons

Management does not recognize and reward accomplishments or the impact you had on a project/team. Opportunities to advance your career are slim to none. Management has no incentive or motivation to help you. Requests for salary adjustments are met with skepticism, rejection, gaslighting, and deflection. The executive team intentionally devised the raise/promotion system to be secretive and vague so that they can save as much money as possible while being able to pocket the rest. Robert Frist addresses the company in regular town hall meetings and happily reports record profits from his lavish home office, while many of us have to suffer below average salaries for our titles/responsibilities and struggle with bills, rent, and groceries. All while the products we build generate "record profits."

Pros

Standards and quality are so low that you can stand out just by not doing a terrible job.

Cons

Pay is extremely low, far below market value, and far below a livable wage in San Diego. Management is unwilling to make any significant improvements. A culture of mediocrity and complacency has stemmed from the extremely low pay. Raises and promotions are completely arbitrary, and not based on skill, contribution, or even seniority. Management complains about product quality and speed but refuses to do the bare minimum to combat it, like hiring new employees to replace ones that quit.
