We've changed our base pay structure and now offer benefits to all new hires. 401K is matched up to 4%, fully vested and available right away.

Pros

If you need experience to get to other jobs, this is a good start.

Cons

Tier system puts you on the bottom rung of the ladder with little to no promise of being escalated. You get life insurance after 90 days and medical if you want, but dental and eye care is reserved for Tier 2. Most of the fun events are reserved for the higher ups (Tier 1s and maybe some tier 2s), the high turnover rate is because the higher ups don't seem to care, and the pay is horrible. For a good 5 months, I was training someone that was making more than me. Instead of giving pay raises to people who work hard, they'd rather hire new people instead.
