Pros

Not too many pros. Most of the engineers are very friendly. The plant is fairly clean. The company is doing well, but that does not translate to this is a good place to work. If you are desperate for work, welcome to Hexcel in Casa Grande. This is a stepping stone to my next job. Housing is also cheaper than in Phoenix or Tucson. I live in Casa Grande, unfortunately, to save time and gas money, but I would rather live one of the major cities instead if I could afford to do so.

Cons

Quite a few injuries recorded at this plant. The cause is less people doing more work because this facility is always eliminating good people. I think the head of the plant has not figured this one out yet, but instead he will lecture everyone on working safely, though he spends most of his time in his office unaware of what actually happens in the plant. Some plant manager he is. Finding talent for HR at this facility is difficult because it is in the middle of nowhere and Casa Grande is not exactly an ideal place to live for most professionals. Good luck trying to find a parking spot without walking a long distance. The bathrooms are in pretty poor condition. Also, a lot of police looking for traffic violations in Casa Grande. That's not necessarily a good thing considering they mostly just watching for minor traffic infractions to generate money for the city because the city is so poor. A lot of trailer parks and poverty in this city. Management is really bad. To be in management, you do not need too many skills, so that is good if you are interested. The biggest con of all is that this plant is run by someone who feels confident he knows what he is doing, but that's all smoke and mirrors. There are positions open all the time, HR cannot fill them easily because talented people do not want to work here. The plant smells like chemicals. I'm not sure that is too good for the human body. The chemical smell gets all over my clothes and skin. I have to shower once I get home in the evening, even though I do not come near any chemicals. The whole facility just smells like chemicals. Even the air conditioning in the plant seems to draw in the chemical smell. I cannot recommend someone work here, unless you are a machine operator with little education and already live in Casa Grande. In that case, this is the place for you. I will probably work for another year, then quit and move to the bigger city.

Pros

many: money, benefits, retirement pkg and health benes

Cons

Empty promises, lack of communication and you can give co. your 100% doing a great job on performance and all testing requirements ... doesnt matter. If they feel you are different (diabled or gay you are a goner) No offers to transfer for perhaps better fit if they truly feel you are not in the right place.
