Pros

The engineering team used to be very close and built bonds through the challenges that were presented. Very talented Engineering Managers.

Cons

High hourly work expectation (even though they tote "work life balance" the workload they give you cannot be done in 40 hrs). 24/7 on call - with the expectation that you will drive in to the floor at 3 am. No food available within 15 min of the plant (no onsite cafeteria/food). Caustic culture between the operators(union), management, and engineers. You will not receive the training you need to be successful at your position. It is not uncommon to come home with cancerous chemicals on your shoes, or itching everywhere there is exposed skin (carbon fibers will embed themselves in your skin - similar feeling to insulation on your skin)

Pros

The benefits and pay are the best thing about them. I liked the schedule, but you do have to plan your life around your work schedule. Have the market cornered in tons of areas

Cons

Little to no room for Production employees to move up in company. Do not follow procedures in place. You have to be your own advocate. If you do not think or act in management way, they will try to continue to make life hell for you. They will hire the wrong people to jobs, i.e. Chemical engineer for mechanical engineer. They highly like hiring people from the outside and not promoting from within. Tons of overtime, not a bad thing, but the way they do the OT list sucks. You may not know till last scheduled shift you are on to know if you have your scheduled days off.
