Pros

Amazing technology; truly game-changing for builders. Employees really care about builders. Long runway of potential; big influx of customers this year = exciting. Company retreats at awesome – great time to connect with my co-workers. Collaborative culture where people are genuinely interested in helping each other (maybe to a fault sometimes ;) General desire from leadership and across the company to continue to get better.

Cons

Cross-team communication and projects need improvement; often a challenge in a remote-first environment

Pros

- Exciting and diverse problems to solve. We're changing the home building industry in a way that has never been attempted before. - Incredible tech - Our product demo amazes folks from the industry every time - Top tier employees across the board and everyone really cares for the company's success - Excellent compensation for a startup with plenty of equity. Company's philosophy is to pay folks at the top of the market and keep valuable employees happy. - Amazing culture. Full of people who are kind, smart and passionate. And lots of humor across the board. - Excellent work/life balance. Probably the best I've seen in any startup. You're not expected to work nights and weekends at all - Remote-first culture - work from anywhere in your PJs. Company keeps hosting fun virtual events for people to socialize during/after work. It shows that they really care about culture. - Lots of autonomy; you determine how best to work to complete your goals - Lot of focus time; no meeting Tuesdays and overall few meetings to get work done - Top-tier senior management that continually listens to feedback

Cons

- We're a startup, so there is plenty of room to grow, but I can see that we're continually improving - Lots to do across the board, we regularly have conflicting priorities - Since there is a lot of autonomy, you would thrive if you're a self-starter and can manage your time effectively

Pros

- No egos or prima donnas at this company. - Still less than 50 employees so you'll know everybody on a first name basis. - Very capable senior management that listens to its employees. - A diverse range of interesting problems to work on. Home building is a rewarding and interesting problem space ripe for digital innovation. - First rate compensation and health benefits. Lots and lots of equity. - A practical interviewing process for software engineers. No whiteboarding insanity or useless brain teaser questions. - Offsite retreats to different locations in the US every 4 months are really, really fun. - It's all remote. No more getting stuck in traffic. You can work in your pajamas! - Unlimited PTO

Cons

- Entirely your responsibility to maintain a healthy work life balance. Your home is your office which can make it difficult to switch off during the evenings or weekends if you're on the cusp of solving a problem or completing a feature. - Things move fast at Higharc, which is to be expected for a startup. Ambitious set of features on the drawing board can seem daunting at first. - No 401k match
