      Pros

      Fast growing with opportunities for mobility.

      Cons

      Just like it says in the job descriptions. They go out of their way to make the job descriptions seem as long as possible and intimidating. Be prepared to work all hours, long hours, and weekends. The business model is such that there are no boundaries the hotel companies won’t cross between you and your personal time off.

      > Wonderful colleagues who you can lean on for support > A lot to learn > Pet Insurance Merit Increases every year Possibly a bonus

      Cons

      > Lack of support from upper leadership (HR VP's, & some HRD's) > More than half of the GM's hard difficult to work with. They are practically untouchable. Seems like they are encouraged to behave in a challenging way. > Depends on who you report to will literally dictate the experience you will have working for Highgate. > Expectations are sometimes unrealistic > The company advertises "We put ppl first" that is not completely true > HRM & HRD's are not properly trained. Its a "sink or swim" culture. > Company often prioritizes "employee engagement" over more pressing issues. > HR community overall is not respected in Highgate & VP's do not care. Not even the VP's of HR.

      No help from leadership and no help for number of hotels you have. Too many zoom calls from managers
