Pros

Benefits, although the employee premiums increased 3 times in 8 years. Facility (Camp Hill) is very accommodating.

Cons

The lack of cooperation between to main facilities is very disruptive. P. R. is valued over people; a new sign was placed in Pitts. at the same time people were laid-off.

Pros

Employees are considered valuable company assets not just numbers. The health care benefits package is very generous which is very important in these times.

Cons

There is some uncertainty as to how Highmark is going to weather the Obamacare storm. As with all Health Insurance companies there is a lot of work to do to stay competitive.
