Pros

Decent health insurance if you manage to stick it out there

Cons

-loud -rude -toxic -uncaring I mean I could keep going. They really don’t care about the employees. And the ones that they do are the ones who were good from day one. You’re there 8 hours a day answering anywhere from 80-100 calls a day on a good day. Management is not sympathetic to people who can not keep up with calls. Calls are expected to be kept under 3 minutes. During which you are expected to get repairs scheduled at the same time dealing with irate customers and a system that doesn’t work half the time. As well as noting everything in the customer’s account for future calls. And once the call ends you’re not allowed even a minute between calls to compose yourself for the next call. And the next call comes in as soon as the last one ends. Also this is a call center yet most of the time it is so loud in there that you can barely hear the callers and they can barely hear you. When in turn causes the caller to become upset. When brought up to management they say that it’s just part of the environment and that every call center is this loud and chaotic so we need to get use to it. And all this is just the tip of the ice berg. They push the whole were a big family thing but they don’t tell you how toxic said family is. I may have been abled to put up with it if the pay had been any good but barely making 16$ an hour and the conditions? No thanks.

One-star reviews are never easy to see. While we aim to be a place where everyone wants to work, we're sorry to see we didn't meet your expectations. Our Customer Service Agents play a critical role in helping ensure our customers get the service they need from our Contractors as quickly as possible. Calls with customers can be hard on occasion, especially when customers are dealing with critical household emergencies. Though this may not have been the right role for you, we're hopeful that you're doing well wherever you've moved on to.

Pros

If you’re looking for a consistent paycheck to tide you over between gigs, come here. Training is 6 weeks. Find something else before those six weeks are up.

Cons

Lies. During the interview process they ask how you feel about remote work and proceed to say immediately upon training you’ll be remote but then don’t allow the remote work and say your stats must be green across the board. However, rarely pulled for coaching to help guide stat improvement.

We're sorry to see this 1-star review and to learn your expectations about working at HomeServe weren't met. It's always our intention to bring on new colleagues and have them stay with us for a long time. We do have a robust in-office training period in place to ensure new Agents are well-educated and informed about how to meet our customers' expectations. Nearly all Agents have the opportunity to work fully remote, though, as you note, performance issues and training requirements can dictate some people to return to working in the office. That period of time may differ for some employees. Though our time working with you is over, we hope you've found a new career opportunity that is better suited to you.
