Thanks for being part of the HomeServe team. Though you’ve moved on from our company, we’re appreciative of your time with us. We do work hard to ensure we offer pay and benefits that are meaningful to the people we work alongside. It looks like you worked in an Agent role as a member of our Contact Center – the first people our customers go to when they have an emergency home repair. Sometimes calls can be tough when customers are dealing with broken AC systems, clogged pipes, and more. If it ever feels overwhelming, frustrating or an emotional challenge, it’s ok to ask for help. Not only are we here for our customers, we’re here for one another.

Pros

Trainers, daily and weekly pay

Cons

While the trainers are great, not everything taught in training aligns with what management will allow once in production. The gig is more about trying to get as much money out of customers as possible, as opposed to actually helping them. If you focus too much on trying to care for the customer rather than sales, upper management will stop responding to you. No benefits, seemingly no HR; any questions pertaining to that will also be ignored.

This review has left us somewhat confused as we don’t have employees in the Orlando area. We can offer the benefit of the doubt that maybe you moved there after working at our Contact Center in the Chattanooga, Tennessee area, which is generally where our Customer Service Agents work, even those in remote roles. Still though, these comments generally don’t mesh with the employee experience we strive to offer at HomeServe. We agree that our Training team is great. From an employee’s first day on the job, through weeks of group classroom training, followed by additional personalized onsite training, we work to ensure new employees are set up for success. Whether they’re taking calls to help customers on their emergency repair needs or assisting them in the enrollment process, new and tenured employees are offered ample ongoing education, support and development. Additionally, our People Team (HR) works onsite Monday-Friday and has always proven approachable and empathetic to all our employees’ needs. They’re also part of the team tasked with developing our compensation and benefits package, which offers very competitive pay along with health and wellness benefits in markets throughout the country. From health and physical wellbeing to mental and financial wellbeing and continuing education, and more, the benefits people need and want are available and accessible. If what you indicated above was actually your experience at HomeServe, we’re genuinely sorry. That’s certainly an anomaly, though still unacceptable by any standard. No matter where your career has taken you, we hope you’re successful and doing well.

Pros

Benefits are good. PTO is good

Cons

You will be micromanaged to the point you question if it’s okay to use the restroom. Software is soooo bad. Three systems to enter any info, none of which talk to each other

We’re sorry to read about what you must consider was a bad experience working with us. It’s always our intention to provide everyone here great career opportunities. We do have some systems we’re working hard to improve through a multi-year platform improvement project. These things take time to implement, but when complete, we’re confident in how it will greatly change how we work. Most importantly, it will bring simplification and speed to those who rely on these systems in their roles. Thanks for your many years of service with the company. We hope wherever your career has taken you after HomeServe continues bringing you the fulfillment you deserve.
