Pros

The infrastructure team in other locations are amazing and set the bar high. They know their positions and are a well established team.

Cons

This saddens me to say but there is a obvious text book case for harassment at this office, not only harassment; but retaliation for reporting harassment by the top level of management.

Thank you for sharing your insights and concerns. HomeServe is dedicated to providing a collaborative and positive work environment and takes such concerns very seriously. We would very much like to learn more so that we may review the issue in greater detail and to learn as much as we can about the situation you’ve referenced. Since your post is anonymous we can only do so if you are willing to contact the company directly and speak, confidentially of course, with our head of HR. It is our hope that you choose to do so. Again, thank you for sharing your insights!

Pros

Overcrowded work space. Exponential growth with little or no planning. Extremely stressful environment as a result, and because of heavy call volume. Supervisors only care about individual performance because of how it affects their monthly bonus. They find any infraction to keep reps from getting their bonus.

Cons

Supervisors smile at your face while looking for excuses to deny your bonus or get rid of you. Heaven forbid you have a loved one die! They expect you to come back from the funeral and act as if your world hasn't fallen apart a few days before! If your performance falls off because of your grief, you are basically told to get back to work and get on with business. I also loved it when my supervisor told me I should have contacted him when my loss happened. He was on vacation, and I followed protocol because he wasn't there. I know if I had contacted him at that time, he would have given me a hard time for disturbing his vacation. Other supervisors are like this too.

Thanks for the comments and sorry about the experience you describe. Hopefully you have found something else that better meets your needs. We are fortunate to have very low turnover at our Chattanooga Center. This says something very positive about how our employees generally feel about the environment and about working for HomeServe. You are right, we are definitely challenged for space, but we are actively looking at options to expand. Our business is expanding; we’re hiring more people, so we need more space. That’s a good thing.
