Pros

great people, good software, fun and energetic environment, ok pay, ok training, good location, no micro-managing which is great. Management tries to care about you.

Cons

They hire for "Enrollment Specialist" which is for "inbound sales" and cold calling is what the position really is. They try to say "arctic ops" but they need to just call it what it is. The company is still new so its very unorganized. Growing pains are normal for a start up but Management is not as "transparent" as they advertise.

We really appreciate you taking the time to respond and obviously we appreciate the kind things you have to say about our environment, product and people. To the critical feedback you provided 1) start-ups are dynamic; the only constant is change and that is even more true at Housecall because we run fast, we're willing to take calculated risk on shipping fast and learning vs analyzing an idea to death. That means we won't be a fit for everyone but it is certainly our responsibility to be transparent. I own that and will make sure we're always being as clear as we can with the information we have at that time. 2) My job, specifically, is to add a bit more process to Housecall so that we can continue to scale. We have a great foundation, but given how fast we are growing, some guardrails will help. It's a fine line b/c the culture is, as outlined, one where we run fast, ship and learn. My goal is to keep that in place but to make sure that we are all set up for success. We are also adding in a layer of management for the first time, and we have a servant based mindset on that front. Team leads and managers are here to serve their teams, to provide support, to help with any roadblocks that pop-up, and to enable better decisions with data. The teams own the goal setting, decision making and accountability. Teams win and we've moved quickly to embrace that concept across the org. Let me know if you have any further thoughts for me. Thank you again for your input.

Pros

Work from home? Good training when starting off.

Cons

1. They fired SDRs to move the division to Mexico to save money 2. They just dont care about you as a person. For example. My city went through a hurricane. Not one single person in the company reached out to check on me or other co workers from the city. Let me go the week after the hurricane. I barely got power back on. 3. I was once told that they dont care how we get the deal, just close it. If the customer didnt have money, ask if they have a cousin, brother, aunt, etc who card they could use to sign up. 4. This is a sales job where they dont care who you sell to. It is suppose to be home service companies but I talked to all types of people from amazon workers to people who work at banks. It didnt matter to them, if you didnt close them, it counts against you and your stats. 5. Script is trash. Pay isnt great. Overall, I would stay FAR away. 6. NO WORK LIFE BALANACE TO SPEAK OF.

Pros

Remote work MacBook Air That’s it

Cons

- egregious low pay. 49K base in 2024 for a tech sales position is unacceptable. 70K is the OTE. Sdrs make more than that in this industry - extreme micromanagement. You must get approval to use the restroom and you’re limited to 10 minutes. - mandatory script reading. - Mandatory Saturday shift - zero culture. - sdrs are all in Mexico and the demo quality is awful. - they truly have no idea what they are doing.
