Pros

A great place to work with work/life balance, Flexible. The whole team at Hudl is supportive, Hudl gives you the ability to build your confidence of being able to do anything(challenging) that you haven't done earlier in life with ease. You are listened to at this company. Amazing company. So much growth and so much opportunity! Most importantly, so much love!

Cons

Nothing that I could think of at this moment!!

Wow, I’m so glad to hear how positive your experience has been so far. What’s even more exciting, is that almost everything you described is steeped in one or more of our core values. Building a culture that’s as unique as Hudl’s is something that I’m really proud of, and it sounds like you’re making the most of it. Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback—glad you’re on the team!

Pros

- Autonomy and empowerment in how you approach your work - Company values are fully embraced and lived out - Career paths with individual contributor and people manager tracks - Workplace doesn't feel silo'ed and people are available and too happy help - Unlimited holiday perk

Cons

- a lot to know about so can take a while to find your feet - relaxed management structure provides empowerment, however this can slow things down

It’s great to hear that you’re having such a positive experience on the team. Something that’s very important to us, especially now that we operate in a hybrid work environment, is valuing outcomes over hours. I’m glad that you’re experiencing and embracing the autonomy we give our team to determine the outcomes of both their work and their career progression. But with that, it can be challenging to navigate when you are newer to the team—but it sounds like you’ve done it successfully. Thanks for sharing your feedback.

Pros

Hudl is a genuinely lovely place to work. Excellent benefits, good people, and a reasonably well-structured business. People are prioritized over product and I can say that as an engineer this is probably the least amount of pressure I have been under in my 10+ years of doing the job. There is a genuine effort to ensure work is prioritized, understood, and distributed properly to allow people enough time to find the best solution rather than the quickest. Teams are allowed slack time/20% time (whatever you want to call it) so you always have a chance to grow/develop your skills. I've personally recommended this place to a bunch of my friends now (not just developers either).

Cons

While the benefits are excellent (Unlimited leave!!!). It would be amazing if we could expand into other more common benefits like death in service, and look to increase the amount of paternity leave men are awarded: even though it's above the standard two weeks, for such an inclusive company it would be nice to see this increased so we get more time with our new family members.
