Pros

I really enjoy my current position. Each department is different so, while I can’t speak for the entire hospital, I feel like my pay and workload is totally reasonable compared to that of other local hospitals. Of course I’d like to be paid more and think we should be, I still have no interest in going back across the river to the other facilities.

Cons

Quite a bit of nepotism. Also, Bad bosses creating toxic work environments for certain departments, yet they’ve been there for so long, it’s like they’re stuck there and you’re stuck with them.

Pros

Literally the only pro is having a job

Cons

They all say “it’s about the patients”, but sadly, it’s a little the money they can make. Management doesn’t care-they’re out for themselves only. Serious back-stabbers. If you’re not in the cool kids group, life is made miserable for you.

Pros

I have worked for Hughston for over 10 years and in that time I have been able to grow in my positions-furthering my career. Coming to work for the Hughston organization was the best career move I could have made. The management team has been supportive and they teach, coach and mentor the staff.

Cons

Larger parking lot. As we continue to grow, the parking area gets smaller for employees.
