Honestly horrible in every way, don’t ignore the bad reviews
Pros
-Made some “friends” due to working 10+ hour days and then attending countless work off sites and events in the name of “office culture” -The people team was actually great and helpful and some work events were fun -Snacks I guess?
Cons
-Like other reviews state, there are immature leaders (some would openly gossip and talk trash about other employees) with borderline abusive tendencies (SCATHING emails/messages when ridiculous deadlines weren’t met) -No real “PTO”. Before the only vacation I took, I completed a big project that was finalized and approved only to be texted on vacation that actually xyz had to be done (an “extra” that we initially decided against adding) and it was time sensitive so I literally had to work through my week of “PTO” -It’s a start-up, so everything is a mess and up in the air while changing at a minute’s notice (rendering hours of hard work useless) -Definitely not an inclusive workspace. Commonly would hear “socially acceptable” racism, sexism, transphobia, etc. One time at an outing, a team member made a really horrible comment about homeless people and how they’re so happy seeing more police around and most people in the group laughed and agreed. -I was once told by a coworker to hide an outside hobby from my manager because if I have extra time to put into a hobby, then I’m not serious about my job and putting enough time into work. This was after we were told that “this wasn’t a work life balance job” Ultimately, I’m convinced that they did find out and it was the catalyst of my departure.
