Pros

Benefits are by far the lowest cost out there, Excellent management team that consistently provides feedback, Merit-based pay increases not only at review time, Willing to listen to any suggestion, Very easy measurable information to know where you rank with your fellow employees,

Cons

Not all practices well explained why we do what we do, Some conflicting news regarding changes to procedure, Training is not adequate for the job needs - basics are still learned well after training is over -items that are necessary for success and compliance in the job, Lack of solid follow-up for consistent performances from the other call center that does our same job despite their claims of "calibration", Occasionally feeling that giving 50% will still get the same results as giving 100% when it is clear that others are not doing their job as well, Some promotions questionable

Pros

Variety of work Benefits and insurance are wonderful even if Humana's name isn't the favorite of providers Milestone gifts and recognition opportunities

Cons

Lots of old retired nurses who refuse to learn and progress with modern capabilities. Leadership just babies them and allows them to do what they want. When you apply for a position, even a leadership one, everyone is told who applied. I applied for the position as the Manager of my team and was told by the Director that I was definitely qualified and would be amazing at the job but it was being given to someone who'd been there longer to "test her out" because she'd been there longer. That person was told I'd applied and she made my life miserable. Suppressing my opportunities for growth and development, refusing to allow me to be trained in all elements of our team's functions so I wouldn't be able to know more than she did. The assistant managers pushed for me to get more opportunities but they were denied. I was the highest performing and had no errors of the team of over 25. Never anything negative in my monthly reviews. Nothing but praise. Ultimately, she started having her own performance issues and turned vindictive towards me. Started denying my PTO requests, passing me over for raises or team promotions, and spreading rumors about my work ethic. I'd been there for over 8 years before she joined the team and was hoping to stay there for at least 8 more. Leadership (Director) over her was unwilling to question what she was saying though they knew me and worked with me directly. I put in my 2 weeks while the supervisor was mysteriously out. The next day, she told me to turn in my computer and not come back. I'm glad I left the toxic environment. Ultimately, she got fired

Cons

Cutthroat culture that does not care about employees or their well being, focus on profit at the expense of people, continuous layoffs and outsourcing initiatives
