Pros

VH1 provided lunch, drinks and worked to create a positive company culture.

Cons

Top down issues. Reactive leadership. Poor planning. Poor budgeting. Engineer run company. Engineers running Devloop vs a construction team so progress was slow. HR was extremely toxic and tried to run the company which contributed to the companies failure. Leadership trying to reinvent the wheel on most simple and basic task.

- Great talent and collaborative attitude within Engineering - Nice office, free lunch - Challenging, room for personal and professional growth

Cons

- The company has never settled on something approaching a feasible technical direction for long enough to get traction before pivoting to something different - Multiple rounds of layoffs coupled with poor communication have stifled the once-vibrant startup atmosphere and created more of a culture of fear and cynicism - A sense of mutual distrust between management and engineering, resulting in a de-energized talent base and a lot of energy wasted on confrontations - A lack of hope for the future of the company has deflated team morale and motivation significantly
