Pros

Work-Life Balance. Even though the company is moving towards a leaner operation, people are still used to the legacy work culture. Many leave before 4PM, but arrive around 10. A lot of teams have the mindset of do you job, do it efficiently, go home.

Cons

Company politics are stifling. This company strives of the idea of "it's who you know, not what you know". Many departments play favorites and often times mirrors a college greek organization. Benefits are mediocre for company size.

Pros

Competitive pay, good benefits, not a bad culture and general environment at Ravinia (HQ building near 285). Everyone who's moved from the data center (Alpharetta) to Ravinia says that it's a completely different, and much better, environment.

Cons

I was generally unimpressed with Tom Conophy as the CIO. He was insulting and disrespectful to some of the groups under him and that's just unacceptable from a leadership position. IT at IHG had some very good technical folks but management never seemed to have a cohesive plan and different VPs were often running off in opposite directions. In particular the data center (DC) was often treated like an unwanted step-child and senior management in the building is completely lacking in leadership. They're nice enough folks to chat with in the hall on the rare occasions they leave their offices but their game plan seems to be "don't make waves". Unfortunately, that doesn't get much done. They're understaffed and the general mood in the DC is gloomy, largely due to disorganization, a constant stream of "we need this tomorrow" projects and lack of support from the aforementioned management when you try to push back.
