Pros

The cafe is decent, bank holidays are nice

Cons

Employees are treated like garbage unless they work on the second floor. When I worked in the banking centers, we had the AC go out on a 105 degree day and all they did was bring us bottled water. Once the fire alarm was malfunctioning and it wasn't repaired for three hours but we had to stay and work. There was a blizzard that caused half the city to shut down but we still were expected to make it to work. They do not care about diversity at ALL. I saw multiple qualified women, long-term employees, passed over for promotions in favor of brand new college graduate frat boys who'd been at the bank for a year. Look up their board of directors to see how "diverse" they are. They allow harassment from upper management and look the other way when lenders aren't doing any work. Good employees are micromanaged while the executive management's besties are allowed to do whatever they want.

Our facilities team works diligently to maintain a comfortable and safe environment for our employees, but occasionally need to contract with third-party providers that place our needs in queue with their other customers. Pros

I’ve been with INTRUST for a little over a year. I was pregnant during a lot of that time, used FMLA leave, and I'm back now working full time. My entire maternity experience with INTRUST has been phenomenal. The insurance coverage for maternity care (pre, delivery, and post) was great. I never had any trouble and always felt very taken care of. HR was so helpful in making sure I had all the information and paperwork I needed to go on leave and come back (and add my child to my insurance plan). They sent me reminders, answered my questions, and communicated with me throughout my leave so that my return was as seamless as possible. My team, my manager, and the head of our department were also incredibly supportive before, during, and after my leave. They covered my work for me and made sure I didn’t have to worry about anything during leave. They also made sure I was invited to team events during my leave, so that I still felt like a part of the team. When I returned to work, information was readily available on the internal company site about the lactation rooms. Such a great experience from start to finish. Thank you, INTRUST!

Cons

There aren't a lot of cons. It's a fast-paced environment and we crank out a lot of work. That could be a con if you're someone who doesn't enjoy that.

Pros

There are some amazing people who work here. I mean really wonderful caring people. Has some good benefits. 6% 401(k) match. Systems work well and aren’t dated. Still have coin machines and will redeem savings bonds for customers and non customers. They have both PTO and Sick PTO. The actual real training programs are well done. Learned a lot. They have a lot of good resources, but depending where you work you may hardly have the time to use it. The have secondhand uniforms that you won’t have to pay for, but can be hard to find one that fits to your liking. They do have other incentives that do not have to do with sales, but it still doesn’t compensate pay.

Cons

Pay is a serious issue. Some benefits could improve. There are toxic people. Where you’re positioned can really affect how your career outlook. You have to Pay for own uniforms that are required to be worn. No refunds. New hire “Training program” is the worst. This doesn’t reflect the trainers. It is the poorly constructed “training program”. Once you’ve left the company good luck trying to get help on things. Constantly you will be told one thing and then told another. Both when you’re an employee and when you’ve decided to leave. Always understaffed putting more responsibility on you, and there’s already too much considering how little is paid. They say they got rid of sales quota, but imo it’s only rebranded. You’re not forced or incentivized to meet a sales goal. It’s still too focused on, imo. When people say they have worked there, for example, 15 years. That may not be a consecutive 15 years. They could have left for 5 and then came back. Good and bad. It can be misleading because it could be a factor in your decision in accepting a position. Good for those who return because they don’t have to start at year 1 again where you won’t get as much PTO. There are some other things that I find deceiving, but it is confidential so I cannot share.

Compensation and benefits are areas we evaluate continuously through benchmarking efforts, annual salary reviews, workforce planning sessions, and ‘real time’ response requests. Our efforts to stay competitive in these areas include several recent enhancements to paid employee and family sick leave, paid volunteer time off, and acceleration of paid vacation time. If you had specific concerns about the effectiveness of training, we are hopeful you shared ideas for improvement with your supervisor. Perhaps another workplace is better aligned with your desires; best wishes in your future!
