Cons

-Demotivating work environment. -Poor leadership throughout all departments of the company all stemming from C-level -Poor training across all departments -Terrible benefits ($$$) -Pay is FAR below industry average across all departments (Glassdoor salaries don't lie) -Company culture is Hunger, Heart, Harmony which is the opposite of how Insight runs in every way possible.

Services Technician

Recommend

Business Outlook

Pros

- Good first step into networking, many clients, lots of great areas to begin a foundation in a networking environment. - Compensates for IT certification (CCENT, CCNA, etc...)

Cons

Unfortunately there are really to many I care to list. but I will give a short list of the big ones. - Upper management is unfamiliar with running and maintaining normal operations expected in a Service environment. - Sales attitudes towards services offering. sales teams answers yes to everything the client wants to gain the contract without considering if the resources and capabilities are available to meet those request. - Many Operations managers have no idea how to do the job they are directing. - Poor procedural documentation that is scattered and near impossible to follow the "correct" path - contacts that are expected to be on-call are frustrated when they are needed. NOC support is the lowest it can possible be. likely due to the lack of pay and benefits. - Pay and Benefits are the lowest in the industry. They use "entry level" and hire in experienced technicians to perform the job in order to maintain such a low pay scale. - Career paths are non existent, with very little opportunity to advance - One of the most unprofessional environments to work in. harassment, equal opportunity, and management / employee respect are extremely low - Extremely overworked, and jokingly underpaid.
