Pros

It is difficult to find any pros about working here.

Cons

Very poor culture. Generally speaking, the management team is brutally unqualified in most respects. In company meetings and training, leadership says one thing, but when you go back to your office and try to do work, get things done and use your hard-earned skills, the company acts in a very different way. - Is the management team is out of touch? - Does the management team KNOW that they are feeding us B.S.? At all levels, Insulet does not encourage independent thought or out-of-the-box problem solving. This makes work GRUELING. Change is not something our company is good at. Most long term employees are really good drones. I don't want to work with drones. I don't want to work for drones. I do not want to become a drone. We are poor innovators and bad at getting the few innovations we have to market.

Pros

Benefits are ok. Good product for people managing their diabetes. The stock is healthy.

Cons

I am very regretful that I took this job. I have been here one year and have already started looking for employment elsewhere. From the day I started, most people I work with are on edge about losing their jobs or doing something wrong. The functional silos do not work well with each other, as turf wars about. You want politics? You've GOT politics at Insulet.

Thanks for taking the time to share your thoughts. Great to hear you appreciate our competitive benefits package and enjoy working on the Omnipod® System. Thanks for also taking the time to share some of the challenges you experienced while working at Insulet. As Insulet matures as a global organization, creating a more authentic, open, and collaborative workplace is one of our key priorities. We have implemented new tools to make communication easier and we are actively seeking additional technologies in this area. To help employees build inter-departmental connections, establish mentorships, and foster friendships with the Insulet community, we have implemented several new programs including Employee Resource Groups, our weekly “Stay Connected” employee video series, virtual social events and coffee breaks. We have also increased our corporate communications resources in order to provide more frequent, engaging, and timely updates to our global employees.

Pros

Free parking. Free coffee. Free use of toilets when time allows.

Cons

Where do I begin? MANY bosses and middle managers who's management skills are terrible. If you take pride in your independent and informed thoughts, Insulet is NOT for you. Political landmines abound. Fear is had by most at the beginning of every day. There is little room for advancement. Up above in the headline for Insulet it reads, "If you are passionate about your career goals and committed to making a difference, we want to learn more about you! " This is laughable and sounds more like parody than real real at this company. Paper pushers abound because of the lack of proper technology and process. I have no gripe with paper pushers, it's just that those of us who thought that a career at Insulet would be gratifying and rewarding because of our experience and smarts were sorely ill-informed when getting hired. This is a sad place to work for many of us. I personally regret taking this job, as it is monotonous, grinding and lacks no other rewards besides a paycheck every two weeks.
