Pros

One of the good reasons of working here were my coworkers, though that can be said for any job. You do have the option of working from home.

Cons

The cons of working here were ultimately what made me leave. The pay was “ok” but didn’t increase significantly enough to warrant calling things a raise. Working 3 years to get 75 cents isn’t that impressive. As much as I liked my managers, I couldn’t help but feel aggravated that everyone kept getting micromanaged by the client. It just didn’t make sense that if I finished my work and my stats were fine, why do I have to do someone else’s work when we both work 8 hours. I also didn’t appreciate that we were told we’d be written up if we sat more than 5 minutes doing nothing when there was literally nothing to do. So the only way to avoid a write up was doing someone else’s work. Again, I appreciate my managers but that just didn’t feel right.

Pros

I greatly enjoy the process of customer service. My relationship with my manager, despite working from home, is open and warm. I've heard that the only position anyone is hired from outside the company for is the basic customer service position I have, with all higher roles being drawn from within the company. I enjoy the connection to Kroger, getting to provide store credit for customers having rough days and generally be a friend in need.

Cons

Pay ain't exactly spectacular. Receiving minimum wage for your work is treated as a reward, not a baseline expectation. The technical side of things is a buggy mess, and if you're having issues, the company sees that as a "you" problem and slaps down occurrences accordingly. Unsure if the customer service experience here is necessarily any better than alternatives, as this is my first position in this line of work.
