Pros

- 23 days of PTO (not unlimited) - They provide lunch if you work in office - people you meet are great - decent benefits that kick in right away

Cons

- turn over is high - documentation is outdated by almost 2 years - they care more about AI then their human customer support - they expect a lot out of you from KPIs but are not understand things are way more complex than now due to AI answering all the easy questions - management is very corporate and clearly do not care about their team or who stays - this role has been on linkedin for 1 year - no growth - some managers should not be managers and show be this role before they can become managers - be prepared to be frustrated and under paid every day - they told us we couldnt be black, queer, etc once you step into work - support is the last team they care about and prefer to throw big events for sales but not for the people that help people who would like to speak to a human instead of AI. - if you speak up against management they will fire you and blame it on KPIs but if you look at their KPIs they were over performing and never on a performance improvement plan

Pros

The people at Intercom are absolutely incredible! Having worked here for nearly 7 years — about 3 years in the Dublin, Ireland office and another 4 years in the San Francisco, CA office — I can confidently say that the culture is second to none. The team is a perfect blend of authenticity, friendliness, and ambition, creating an environment that’s both welcoming and inspiring.

Cons

Intercom is an incredibly fast-paced workplace, driven by an impressive number of regular product releases and code deployments. While some communication details occasionally get lost in the shuffle, the top-level, company-wide strategy is always crystal clear to all employees. The pace can be demanding and challenging at times, but the rewards are absolutely worth it! In the past, our human resources has been stretched thin. However, leadership has recognized this and is prioritizing headcount growth in the coming year. We're excited about expanding the team to ensure a more balanced workload and continued success.

Pros

- Every single day at Intercom is filled with impactful, meaningful work. - We move with pace, place bets and take meaningful bets, and are here to win. - There's a ton of momentum in the business - The culture of the team is filled with passionate, collaborative, and supportive people. What stands out to me is how cross-functionally supportive the teams are, from R&D (product & engineering) partnering closely with GTM to the Customer Support team lending their expertise to customers during sales cycles. This was honestly a question for me before I joined but has been one of my favorite aspects of working at Intercom. Every day, I'm energized by the work that we do and wake up each morning excited to get into things. There was definitely a tough time period at Intercom a couple years ago but now what has come out of that is an incredibly aligned, passionate, and talented group of people going after a really ambitious goal. I'm here for it.

Cons

- The SF office can use some TLC but that's being worked on!
