Not as great as they think they are.

Pros

Talented people, and a generally good mission, to provide quality healthcare at reasonable premiums.

Cons

Very poor salary competitiveness. Benefit cost is connected to Intermountain Healthcare employees increasing premiums unnecessarily. Do not allow spouses to hold insurance for dual coverage. There is an odd and disconnected corporate culture that doesn't integrate well. Communication from upper management is poor, and seems to generally involve patting themselves on the back about what a "Great Place to Work" it is.

Pros

Stability, will have to work really hard to get fired. Basically you can just do bare minimum to keep your job. Just sit back and watch someone else do the work for you.

Cons

Compensations well below what you are worth. Everyone basically gets the same pay raise, even though you may not deserve it.
