Supervisors and management were very 2 face with each other and then to their employees. Management could not interact without arguments, instead of a team work environment throughout the company they seemed to work against each other. A lot of backstabbing and manipulation going on there, no respect for their peers and especially lower level employees.

Pay is not usually competitive, they are often trying to play catch-up. The organization is implementation minded with no effort to stabilize. You implement one project after another only to watch your previous project work go down the drain because senior leaders don't want you to take time to stabilize your previous work. (Then you will get asked why your previous work has failed) I am surprised how complacent the organization is when they get a bad Director. A department can have low employee engagement, very high turnover, extremely disengaged staff, and even if all of these symptoms point back to your Director, there is NOTHING they will do about it. Don't even bother talking to HR. The organization is going through a huge EMR overhaul implementing a new system. If you work with data or systems in any way be prepared for a crushing workload, with business owners who are not very understanding. If you can make it for the next couple years you'll probably be fine. I'm surprised how many long timers have burned out and left.
