Pros

Has been a great company to work for in the past. Good benefits, good people to work with across the board. Feels good to serve the community.

Cons

New CEO, Marc Harrison is now "DISRUPTING" Intermountain. Outsourcing ALL services, which could be thousands of people. Now causing trauma and terror in the community.

Pros

None anymore because of Mark Harrison

Cons

The new ceo mark Harrison is so selfish he can’t even think straight. He micromanages everyone and everything and took sugar away from the hospital. Really? Are we not all adults here who can decide what we eat? He has cut bonuses, slashed jobs, driven many people to quit, micromanaged, adds stupid tasks and goals to our already insane workload, ups patient to nurse ration while penalizing if we clock out 1 minutes late, and has ZERO care for anyone but himself in this job. Do not work for IHC, I just quit and it was the most freeing thing! No longer under his freaking dictatorship.

Pros

People, community, industry, size, technology

Cons

layoffs, reorganization that is chaotic and stressful, good employees jumping ship, Executives that related to the front-line worker's replaced, no room for advancement, outsourcing IT to India, outsourced registration, billing, and scheduling to R1, morale is low, stress is high, everyone has taken on more work. If you are considering a position with Intermountain Healthcare, look around for other employment with more stability.
