Pros

Nice facilities, state of the art imaging equipment, great physicians

Cons

The Meh: Parking, food, pay, benefits, managers and directors The Bad: Micromanagement, ham-handed goal setting and evals, lack of accountability, too many students, high employee turnover The Ugly: Lack of staffing. Being told that “the numbers don’t justify new hires”. Working without lunches most days. Child like mentality of “whose turn is it?” Employees sleeping and/or unable to do their job with no corrective action. Burnout!!

Pros

Intermountain has a lot of great facilities to begin a career, many fantastic benefits including health, 401k, PTO, and a wellness program called LiVeWell along with several other things that make this a great place to work. Staff and management are friendly and approachable. It is a very good work environment in comparison to many hospitals.

Cons

Wages are on the lower end of the spectrum, as is healthcare in general in the state of Utah. There are opportunities to advance your career, but it only goes so far as the upper level positions seem to be taken by people who “know people” rather than workers who are adequately qualified.

Pros

The size of the company and opportunities that can exist within the company.

Cons

Lots of uncertainty within the organization and current way they are treating their employees; especially those they sever. Potential favoritism for new positions. New People Officer is company propaganda at its finest.
