Pros

The people I work with are awesome. Some of the best people in the world who have dedicated their lives to serving others.

Cons

Transparency is nonexistent. Change is abrupt and at the whim of management without any input from knowledgeable staff. In fact staff opinions are not respected or tolerated. Over the last 5 years the Mission, Vision and Values have become only a statement. They have lost any meaning for staff. Mutual respect and empathy are only for patients not for the staff who provide for them.

Pros

When I first started at Intermountain I felt like I had a secure job and I felt valued. The benefits aren’t really that great but I like the PTO and the stability I felt IHC had

Cons

Since new CEO Marc Harrison came IHC has gone to crap.He started us on a new computer system that is called Revenue Cycle and it never works right and takes forever to check people in. Also, Harrison has decided to outsource our billing department and other receptionist at the hospitals. He plans to outsource them to a company called R1 which used to be called Accretive Health and that company was banned in Minnesota for harassing patients for payment before treatment. R1 is centralized in India so the employees transferring will most likely all be fired and IHC billing department will all be handled by India and patient information will no longer be safe.
