Bad culture

Pros

Growth opportunities.... Often due to turnover. Decent benefits. Many of the teams are full of great people, they are just stuck dealing with a bad company.

Cons

This company is very top heavy with VPs and there is little support and acknowledgement of those who are actually doing the work. Terrible culture of pointing fingers, refusal to take responsibility, and a distrust in one another. The development of system services has created an untrusting environment due to the many initiative failures and lack of understanding/caring of the hospital site needs. The company wastes huge amounts of money on the upper leadership and it is a battle to get additional help for the teams who are in need. And leaders wonder why they have turnover issues....?

Pros

Dedicated co-workers. Facility upgrades. Recent acknowledgement that salaries are below average, and lip service is being paid to salary increases, although this has not materialized for all employees as yet.

Cons

Horrible communication, from the top down. Lots of corporate double-speak. Deliberate disregard for employee input. Favoritism. No avenues for career growth, unless you're an RN and like to kiss up to management. Poor financial planning: lots of perceived waste (c'mon, hundreds of thousands of dollars to change the LOGO?) Senior leadership/CEO/VPs are now all accountants. None have any clinical experience, and cannot relate to the good people that work in the trenches and help make this company what it is. All decisions are made from a financial standpoint, not a quality patient care standpoint.

Pros

It seemed ok at first, but this didn't last long.

Cons

Unskilled management. It is clear that the staff means little to the management. Intimidation and bullying rampant. Non medical managers trying to run medical staff. Do not back their staff. Allow toxic environment/behavior. Employees are NOT valued here.
