Pros

Intermountain used to be patient-centered. They cared for employees, and they had integrity. Since acquiring several hospitals and clinics over the last 2-3 years, focus is on money, efficiency, and the buzzword “streamlining”. Employees are overworked, under appreciated, and not allowed to use professional judgment. We are discouraged from taking sick days, retaliated against for legitimate disabilities, and expected to perform with no encouragement.

Cons

Employees are overworked, under appreciated, and not allowed to use professional judgment. Discouraged from taking sick days and retaliated against for legitimate disabilities. I stopped reporting policy violations and ethical concerns to leadership because colleagues retaliated and nothing ever changed. Top performers are expected to continue performing with no appreciation and no additional compensation.
