Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. While the healthcare industry continues to face staffing shortages across the nation, Intermountain Health is employing innovative solutions to address these shortages, including remote and hybrid work options for select positions where possible, tuition reimbursement/education assistance, paid training programs and apprenticeships, and partnerships with educational institutions and community organizations to develop a pipeline of healthcare talent. Through these avenues, as well as an organizational focus on retention efforts, we’re working to ensure we have the workforce we need to provide high quality care to our patients and communities. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Okay for degreed persons

Pros

Adequate salary. Benefits are lagging.

Cons

If you aren't degreed, it doesn't matter how much experience or knowledge you have, you will never advance. You will also be ignored and demeaned by all levels of leadership. They are very big on the latest corporate speak and communication fads and use them as if they mean something.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. First and foremost, we are sorry to hear that you are unhappy with your experience at Intermountain Health. We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. Intermountain is committed to life-long learning and providing professional development opportunities for all our caregivers. Upward mobility is a key focus for us. We implement educational resources that empower caregivers to gain new skills that drive personal and professional growth. Some of these resources include access to an online digital learning library and partial tuition coverage for a number of accredited programs. Through these avenues, we strive to support talent development that can align with the career goals of our caregivers. We take all feedback seriously and will share your review with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Pros

A job with a mix of highly motivated and passionate people and then there are those who are just there to get the bills paid with minimal effort.

Cons

Lots of boys clubs in leadership positions. If you share the same Sunday practice, you're in. If you're not at the same Ward, have a dad that's best friends with someone's uncle in the church, or don't look the part- you're not going to get promoted or valued for your efforts.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. First and foremost, we are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at Intermountain Health. We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. We encourage our caregivers and leaders to engage in open and accessible forms of communication. Programmatically, we build deliberate opportunities to be collaborative and share feedback. Additionally, at Intermountain, we enjoy the privilege of working with caregivers from many different heritages and backgrounds, who enhance our mission by bringing their traditions, customs, experiences, and perspectives to work every day. Our Office of Equity and Inclusion (OEI) is active in visibly raising awareness and helping us create a culture of equitable opportunity and belonging. The OEI hosts and sponsors events, trainings, Caregiver (Employee) Resource Groups, and multimedia marketing campaigns. More fundamentally, these talented caregivers drive our focus on ongoing policies and practices for hiring, supporting, and developing a diverse and culturally competent workforce at all levels, listening to diverse groups caregivers, and sourcing from diverse talent pools in the community. We take all feedback seriously and will share your review with our teams as we continue to move forward.
