Good but could be better

Pros

Intermountain does a pretty good job with benefits and work/life balance. There's a lot of great people that work here, but they're going to continue having a hard time keeping them on unless they add flexible schedules and increase pay. They're doing some good work on population health but need to continue looking to the future.

Cons

It seems to me that there is a lot of dead weight at the top. They need to seriously consider cleaning house in some of the top tier positions, encourage new ideas and get rid of the people that are stuck in the past and prohibiting innovation. Additionally some senior management does not embody the culture and values of the company and some areas of the company are fairly toxic. Essentially they need to do a better job hiring and keeping good managers and not let the bad managers/directors stagnate in their cozy positions.

Pros

Decent benefits. Great staff at the care sites. Very mission and Catholic health care driven. Small care site with access to larger system.

Cons

Too many upper management staff members with very little support to staff on the ground at care sites. Little to no advancement opportunities. Very minimal educational opportunities.
