Pros

None if you are a software engineer or an analyst.

Cons

Dilbert is pale in comparison. The ineptitude of the senior leadership team is beyond belief. Changes are non-stop, nobody has time to regroup, ever. Impossible to learn and to unstress. The Peak region in Colorado is now in full control of the entire data services, and dogs would be better treated than the technical staff. Folks just get fired without any transparency, for the sake of 'optimization'. This company is now just about money and nothing else.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review with us. First and foremost, we are sorry to hear that you were unhappy with your experience at Intermountain Health. We appreciate your valuable feedback as it helps us identify the areas we can improve. We encourage our caregivers and leaders to engage in open and accessible forms of communication. Programmatically, we build deliberate opportunities to be collaborative and share feedback. Additionally, as two of the nation’s leaders in providing better healthcare outcomes for lower costs, combining SCL Health and Intermountain’s operational and clinical programs strengthens our shared focus while simultaneously expanding our collective footprint to serve more patients and communities throughout the Mountain West. This merger also allows us to reduce costs by allowing for economies of scale and sharing best practices and resources, which can lead to improved quality of care for our patients. We take all feedback seriously and will share your review with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Pros

The job is a great way to feel like you are a part of the patient's care in an indirect way. It doesn't require immediate certification.

Cons

The company feels like it is growing too fast. The changes in the last year or so have felt very much like micromanaging. The pressure on making sure you are following every policy to a T is a lot. A recent change in absence policy makes it almost impossible to not get a warning if you happened to get sick for multiple days in a row multiple times in the year. The culture just feels very much that they don't actually care about the caregivers but will put on a show to make it seem like they do.

Thank you for sharing your feedback, both positive and constructive. We value all our current and former caregivers’ feedback, as our focus is to continually improve our practices. Intermountain Health provides various resources to share news with our leaders and caregivers, and programmatically, we’ve built deliberate opportunities to collaborate and share feedback. (Examples of this include the 30, 60, 90-day Check-Ins with your manager as part of the new employee onboarding program, re-occurring quarterly meetings, team huddles, and staff meetings.) Additionally, Intermountain is uniquely positioned to provide communities in the Mountain West with advanced care techniques and innovative solutions to their health needs, as well as deliver high-quality care at a sustainable cost to more patients and growing communities. Our growth as an organization supports our ability to do groundbreaking work and invest in large, life-saving projects, as well as be the partners in health that each unique community needs us to be. By collaborating and driving positive change together, we can help shape the future of healthcare and make a meaningful impact on patient care. We appreciate your review and will share it with our teams as we continue to move forward.

Pros

Newer hospital, reliable hours, great co workers. The doctors are amazing to work with and there is a great team atmosphere

Cons

All incentive programs have been taken away, the raises are minuscule, and the upper management is letting good talent go.
