Great Place to Wait Tables While Getting a Degree to Take Elsewhere
Pros
Flexible Scheduling Some Members are nice to you
Cons
Tip share that really isn't. ClubCorp takes 10% of the 20% service charge that is added to the member's check automatically, then the rest is divided up between EVERYONE who worked that week, including management (some of whom literally sit at the reception desk and play solitaire for hours on end)... worst part of this is that the members don't know this and we are not allowed to tell them unless they ask, and even then, we have been told not to tell them the truth. The Club gets away with this because they state at the bottom of the receipt that the service charge is not a tip or gratuity. However, they have forcefully removed our tip line from the checks and refuse to let us have it back. Most of the country club members don't even look at their checks... there are a few that if they even look, will circle the service charge on the check, as if to say, that's all you get, because they don't know that you barely get any of it.
