Pros

Nice clubs, Laid back as long as you do your job.

Cons

If you are looking for a job where you will make less and work more than this is the JOB FOR YOU! You ask how is that possible? Comp plan 2021 Jan Goal - $4000 in Dues Added at 67% payout = $2680 Comp plan 2022 Jan Goal = $6000 in Dues Added at 43% payout = $2580 Lets Say you dont hit your goal and you only sold 5k in dues - $2150 So, by selling 1k MORE you make 250 less. How does that work? And the spread widens all year long. So, basically as an MD you have to sell between 20-50K more this year just so they can make what they made last year. So, if you get a plan that says you will make 100k a year. Understand that that is only year 1. Every year after that you will LOSE money. They change the plan every year.

Pros

Huge National company with clubs in several states

Cons

Literally everything else. The pay was low to begin with, but after restructuring of management, they cut all PED's base salary right before Christmas and switched to a higher commission base, but still expected us to work 60+ hours a week. Classy. They don't actually train their employees or provide any support to helping them do their jobs, but rather fill their time with useless conference calls, paperwork, and garbage procedures that just get in the way of actually being able to do their jobs correctly. All of the employees are absolutely miserable and want out immediately. Higher ups don't care about their employees, and it shows. My club went through FIVE (yes, really) PED's in less than three years. Wake up, ClubCorp. You're obviously doing it wrong.
