Pros

Never boring, used to enjoy equally dedicated coworkers(most gone).

Cons

Same weekend shift dif pay over 20 years. Tendency to run off quality workers and coddle lazy ones. Whenever a new CEO has to step in every 4-5 years, they make an appearance of making improvements, then its back to the same old, short on supplies/staffing. Hired extras in the Blood Bank to comply for Trauma 1 status/Medicaid reimbursement, but back to one worker per shift on weekends again.

Pros

Yearly bonuses and health benefits were really good.

Cons

If you have a bad manager then your experience will be hell. My experience started out really good for the first 3.5 years then another manager (assistant manger under my then manger) came in with a chip on her shoulder and started micromanaging. Literally nitpicking and looking for things to be wrong while my then manager allowed her to do so. The actual manager was one of those hands off in the background type of managers. He didn’t really address and correct issues and problems. In a way it was great but it could also be detrimental to the employees because employees need leaders, not a hands off manager who was there to solely collect a check. The thing about it too, is that, he could’ve been a really good leader. His personality was friendly and approachable, but he was “messy”.

Pros

I’ve learned a lot working here through the years.

Cons

Staff is very cliquey so be careful. They act like they like you but if you get on their bad side or they don’t like you they will stab you in that back and spread lies about you. A lot of hardworking staff has lost there jobs or quit for been falsely accused by other coworkers out of spite or for being bullied. Management is well aware and has done nothing but look away or add fuel to the fire.
