      Pros

      Have enough equipment and technology to perform surgery.

      Cons

      Lack of direction at the Admin level. Partial to one group national origin. Lack of people skills throughout company. Do not secure the PHT policies are being met. Staff bullying widespread. Stress-full atmosphere to work everyday. Patient care average not god as should be. HR has no direction except to intimidate and eliminate. Would not recommend the worst person I know to work there. Right to work state no one cares about stability except the culprit behind the glass doors and the union.

      Pros

      Bonus for picking up shifts $750 for extra shift. OT always available. Take part in new studies. Deal with very sick patients.

      Cons

      union ruins everything. Schedule is terrible and can never take time off. Have 3 education days per year that cant even be used because unit is short staffed. Pay so low compared to other hospitals. Have to pay for parking. Management is terrible they make it seem that you should be thankful and greatful to work at jackson; Always adding in more work but no extra help. Have a 4/3 schedule

      Decent pay, feel good mission about the role Jackson plays in community

      Cons

      Many non-clinical executives have their jobs due to county patronage. They add little to no value but they sure look good in their suits. Very poor management skills by many non-clinical executives. No compulsory performance reviews with employees. High level executives and managers get terminated without any performance improvement plan or constructive/negative feedback. Working here is akin to working for county government (not a compliment). Low sophistication of many manager and above levels. Divisions work in silos, no best practice sharing.
