Pros

I can’t say enough good things about this company. This is the premier tech company in Edmonton to work for. You have the opportunity to work with an amazing product team, who truly care about the things they build and who always want to become better at their crafts. You have the opportunity to move around and try new things, or stay on a single team depending on your goals. I genuinely feel like the engineering management team cares about their reports, and are willing to go the extra mile for them. The non-product teams are amazing too! Spending time with our success team is often the highlight of my week. I truly love this company and the people in it.

Cons

Benefits and to a lesser extent pay. The culture, work, and growth opportunities will keep me here, but the pay is slightly on the low side and the benefits are *extremely* limited.

"I truly love this company and the people in it" - well this makes us feel all types of lucky. Thank you for the positive review! We definitely moved away from offering a traditional/typical insurance plan to maximize the benefit to our team members. Feel free to reach out to a member of the People Operations Team if we can help you go through the plan further. Your feedback on this program is much appreciated.

Pros

There is free food, and you get your own laptop.

Cons

Dishonest people, NO health insurance, 9 hour days with no breaks except for lunch. No guidance from supervisors, too much work expected for the low salary that they pay! Culture reminds me of high school, very unprofessional and poorly managed work environment.

Thank you for taking time to reflect on your experience with us. I'm sorry that it wasn't positive. We value our current and former team member's input and advice so much. We've added more training for our people managers, and have revised our total compensation plan. We definitely moved away from offering a traditional/typical insurance plan to maximize the benefit to our employees. Again, we thank you for taking the time to reflect on your experience with us. We always strive to be even better.

Pros

The founders very clearly care about their employees a great deal. It's very refreshing to strongly trust the people that lead me.

Cons

Jobber is a quickly growing company, and it's very willing to try new things with org structure and processes. (That's a good thing!) But it's only natural that changing things up sometimes causes issues. That said, I think Jobber avoids or handles those issues pretty well.
