Pros

I am having a hard time trying to figure out what PRO to say about this place? Reduced benefits, reduced pay and an expectation to do more with less?

Cons

Oh where to begin! Like the title says, you'd be safer on the Titanic than going to work for JoCo.gov any day! They are consolidating left and right which means you better pray that when one department gobbles up yours that you are left with a job. Let's not even talk about tax payer waste either. Over the years I have seen departments order items that rarely if ever get used or if they are used are they ever necessary? For instance, the Door Card swipe at the employee bathroom for the Jo Bus Stop. Seriously? Whose idea was that?? Laziness comes to mind. Why not change the darn locks when someone leaves instead of implementing a very expensive technology solution that will ultimately cost tax payers money. Oh wait, no it won't. The commissioners will not raise taxes, they'll just CUT JOBS or Benefits or BOTH! This place like I said is worse than the Titanic!

Pros

Benefits are good. Have weekends off.that's it unfortunately, wish there was more.

Cons

Where to begin..... 1) Employees are treated like children. 2) Poor work environment 3) Employees treated poorly and are not appreciated 4) Upper Management focuses solely on the customers to an extreme at the expense of their employees. 5) Upper Management 6) You never know what time you are going to get off work as they allow people to take tickets until 4:30 (hours are 7:30-4:30) then you stay until you get the number of customers in line to 0. That number can get up to 400 and you can be there until 7:30 pm. 7)Upper Management simply does not care about their employees as morale is at an all time low and employees are burnt out. They just don't care. 8) Snobby JOCO Customers. 9) ....and so much more....
