Pros

There really were none to speak of

Cons

Inept communication from management as to exact job responsibilities. Employees at Corporate are scattered around various states. They treat there new hires with no dignity and less then proper pay. High turnover given their business structure. Threw onto a computer without any training then was fired for no reason by their President - Get This By telephone call after only 8 days. I was given no chance not even a fighters chance to be successful my boss the controller was based out of Oregon. No explanation was given other then some of the girls (catty I must say) didn't like me. The way they let me go was totally unethical and unprofessional!! Stay Away they are fools gold!!

Pros

No pros at the moment.

Cons

My time at Johnstone Supply was disappointing due to major issues with communication, leadership, and company culture. Decisions were often made based on hearsay rather than direct conversations, and employees weren’t given the opportunity to clarify misunderstandings. Constructive feedback and efforts to improve processes were not always welcomed, and leadership seemed more focused on control than collaboration. HR lacked consistency and fairness, sometimes making decisions based on personal bias rather than policy. There was a clear disconnect between HR and employees, leading to a culture of mistrust. Additionally, there was significant micromanagement, a lack of structured processes, and an expectation to take on high-level responsibilities without appropriate compensation. Extreme high turnover rate due to lack of servant leadership within management. Overall, Johnstone Supply has potential, but until leadership prioritizes transparency, trust, and fair treatment of employees, the work environment will remain frustrating and unsustainable.
