Pros

Working for KIND has been an incredible experience for several reasons. To start, the people here make the company culture and environment so wonderful. Everyone treats each other like family and the positivity brought by the team allows coming to work every day to be an enjoyable experience. My coworkers are some of my greatest friends in the city and without them, working here would be so different! Secondly, there is room for growth at the company. It's hard to find places to work that give you the opportunity to move up, but KIND makes this possible! They are willing to promote from within and give people the ability to grow themselves personally and professionally. KIND also offers some great benefits to their team. Everyone that works here gets stock within the company, which shows that we are all owners and working towards a shared goal. Additionally, in the summertime, we get summer Fridays and the office closes for an early start to the weekend. When you start at KIND you are given a very generous amount of PTO compared to other companies out there. Our CEO walks around the office and chats with everyone about anything and everything. He knows everyone by name and wants to make sure we are all happy with our working environment at KIND. Overall, our products, culture, environment and team members are what make KIND such a great place to work. I would recommend it to anyone!

Cons

Sometimes have to book conference rooms a couple weeks in advance. Last minute meetings are tough to find rooms. We do not get off some of the holidays that other companies do. After New Years Day the next holiday we get off is Memorial Day.

Pros

Casual dress code Daniel as a truly visionary and caring individual Most team members are friendly & collaborative Collaborative culture where working-team level coworkers get along well and create a positive productivity environment

Cons

Zero upward feedback mechanisms New VP level leadership across multiple functions is changing the culture for the worse No support for existing employees with the org structure changes. more and more people being hired in above with no attention paid to impact on the existing team Compensation is well below market and annual increases are basically negligible, no one at the company has gotten anywhere near their target bonus for years If you have a bad manager, there are no avenues for you to do anything about it and no mechanisms for anyone else in the organization to know

We appreciate you sharing your perspective, and we’re glad that you’ve experienced our collaborative culture and positive, productive environment. You have shared several important points in your review and we would like to continue the conversation with you live. In case you don’t reach out, here are a few comments in response: • During our last town hall, leadership spoke about the importance of open and honest feedback and the resources and people available to all team members for feedback and suggestions. If there’s a continued issue with your manager and you are not feeling heard by your department head, please come to HR for a discussion. • We keep a pulse on compensation trends across the industry to continue to offer fair and competitive compensation programs. We consider equity in KIND and eligibility for a bonus for all full-time team members a unique part of our overall package. We hope you’ll reach out to share your feedback in person, so we can learn more about your perspective and work together for a more positive experience for you and our team. – KIND HR

Pros

Good products and benefits. Stock options are a plus. Company is hiring experienced employees from big companies to help grow the business.

Cons

Nepotism is a problem because family is not held accountable for negative actions. Legacy Senior Management that helped the small company grow to where it is clashes with Newly Hired Talent that was hired to help the company maintain growth and business in a new and larger business climate.

We’ve been very fortune to grow substantially over the past few years, welcoming many new team members into the KIND family. We’ve begun to implement new processes and trainings to help us ensure we continue to thrive as a business while we enhance and develop our culture. - KIND HR
