      The company being named after “family” should’ve been my first red flag

      Pros

      Good work/life balance, unlimited pto, and healthcare,

      Cons

      Upper management did not know how to clearly communicate. Teams were reorganized every 3-6 months with management switching hands just as often. They’re more focused on the minor mistakes teams makes rather that the many accomplishments. Company culture is also toxic and they use horrible puns around with their company name.

      Pros

      At Kin we're able to connect across business areas and make our ideas happen. I love our Core Values and the transparency provided at the Senior Leader level.

      Cons

      We're expanding with new states and products. We're busy, but it is exciting that we all are such a big part of the company's growth.

      Data Driven!

      Pros

      Kin is a very data driven organization. I haven't seen data used as extensively to run a business. Full remote. Culture of using memos makes it easier to understand why something was decisioned, even if you weren't in the meeting. Company OKRs are Looker dashboards! One source of truth. Software and Data are building blocks of the business so not a side car.

      Cons

      Kin is high paced work environment.
