Pros

Work from home, amazing team and manager. Great learning experience and teachers to excel in underwriting insurance.

Cons

Churn is high, I find myself having to ask if someone is here anymore alot. I last counted 22 people were fired/ quit in one month The big cons are pay, Customer service and Underwriting support were paid the same. Not sure how that works when one is answering the phone and ticketing and the other involves complexity of making changes, compliance, claims, discounts. Sales gets so much love, they get incentives and expensive/discounted items/gifts. We get a mug or occasional gift card or outing. Please show other departments some love and appreciation.

Where are the cost of living raises?

Pros

Work from home. Your peers/team

Cons

Once a year there are merit based raises which I understand, but even employees who go above and beyond consistently meeting and often exceed required numbers/emboding the company culture etc still meet expectations and then get a merit based raise of 2-4% which is barely cost of living raises. While most every other company I've seen and worked for previously provided a once a year cost of living raise usually 3-5% on top of merit based raises which at minimum were 5%

Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear that you value the work-from-home flexibility and enjoy collaborating with your coworkers! Thanks for raising concerns about merit-based raises and cost of living adjustments. We are continuously evaluating our compensation strategy to ensure it reflects both employee performance and the broader economic landscape. We appreciate your hard work and dedication, and we will take your feedback into consideration as we work to improve our approach.

Pros

They offer remote/ work from home

Cons

They are a start up and growing too quickly, so leadership is struggling with catching up. As a licensed insurance agent, you will be on inbound calls back to back, its a typical call center and when they say "no outbound calling" that's not true. They have employees who make the outbound calls, then they transfer to you and deem them "inbound calls". Expect to be tied to the phone and yelled at for 8 hours. The pay was not as promised, expect to make 65k with base and commission, not 6 figures as promised.

Pros

Work from home and getting to meet new people from your training class

Cons

Worst experience in a training environment I’ve ever had. Unprofessional trainers and management using scare tactics don’t make for a very positive environment. Made me doubt my decision to move over to this company from day one and never got much better from there. Constant fear of losing one’s job and underwriting makes it impossible to write business. Having years of successful sales experience in various industries- very disappointed. Toxic, immature management.

Fast-paced company that's maturing out of the startup phase

Pros

- Smart, hard-working colleagues who really care - Work from home - Solid pay and benefits - Fast growing, profitable company that's here to stay

Cons

We are a mature startup now. We still move pretty fast, but we aren't a young, scrappy startup anymore. As we grow, it gets easier to be silo'd. Management seems to be focusing on this, which is good, but still a place where we could get better.

We're so glad to hear that you value your colleagues, the flexibility of remote work, and our continued growth and stability. We're especially proud of the passion and care our team brings to the work every day. You're absolutely right that as we've grown, we’ve had to evolve how we work together. Staying connected, collaborative, and aligned across teams is a top priority for leadership, and we're actively investing in ways to break down silos and keep that fast-moving, unified culture that helped get us here. Feedback like yours helps us keep improving—thank you again!

Pros

Remote Company/Work from home benefit

Cons

Despite promoting a culture of transparency, this company operates in a manner that contradicts that principle. Leadership, including HR, fosters a toxic work environment where trust is scarce. Employees who dedicate significant effort often find their contributions undervalued and deemed insufficient. Decision-making appears inconsistent, with leadership lacking clear direction. Additionally, individuals are placed in roles for which they may not be suited. Rather than valuing employees as individuals, the company treats them as mere numbers. While initial impressions from recruiters may be positive, new hires quickly realize there is little guidance, and compensation and benefits fall short of expectations.
