      Buyer Beware- Kindred Palm Beach

      Pros

      They have air conditioning and the cafeteria is cheap with decent food. The hospital is relatively new but it's hard to tell since it is not kept up well.

      Cons

      Management is terrible, no one knows what they are doing, hospital is filthy, no one cares about the employees, corporate kindred is very cheap they have taken away most employee benefits that were once enjoyed. The hospital is located in a very impoverished and dangerous area with zero security for the staff. Be prepared to work with people who are constantly changing their mind of what they want, not notifying people of the changes and then writing you up for not following the new policies. The management is very segmented with each person touting their own rules and very disjointed, most staff are fearful to speak up with issues for fear of retribution. The 401k matching is virtually nothing, benefits are terrible. My advice... stay away and seek employment somewhere else!

      Worse hospice ever

      Pros

      There are no pros. This place should be closed. They treat staff like slaves, provide sub-par care, understaffed, huge turn over..

      Cons

      Worst management possible. Poor communication. Poor over site. Border line unethical practice. Multiple patients not appropriate for hospice services. It is all about money and census, not what is right for the patients, or the state of Ohio. They give hospice a bad name. I would not allow them to take care of my dying cat!

      Short staffed, overwhelmingly nurse/staff to patient ration. Dangerous

      Pros

      All the overtime you could want, electronic medication administration records, computerized charting (Point, Click, Care), treatment supplies well stocked and found at central supply.

      Cons

      Poor communication between staff and management, lack of accountability, building is very old and constantly having difficulty with air conditioning, leaking roof and at times no available hot water for patient care.
