Pros
People on the team level are great. Everyone is kind, helpful, and motivated to do great work. Benefits are good, though compensation is lacking given we that we want to become "one of the greats." The company is doing well financially, people love the product.
Cons
Over the last couple of years, overall company and team culture has decline. We didn't scale effectively (over-hired) and shifted priorities around constantly. We're all at the mercy of our CEO who tends to micromanage. Instead of solving problems, they deflect and provide unproductive solutions. VPs and directors don't create the best work environment. There's too much forced culture and fake performative work. Promoting your work is more important than the work actually is. Leadership does little to address real concerns on the team. When asked difficult questions, they deflect and point the finger. When concerns are brought up about certain team members/leaders, they ignore them. Overall, there's no longer a sense of psychological safety and that will be hard to repair. The company is shifting away from remote-first and are headstrong on going back into the office.
