L&R Distributors reviews about "pay"

Very poor communication and inconsistent handling of employees. I was hired under a signed offer letter at $25/hr with no travel requirement. Later, management disputed the rate but failed to handle it properly and even continued paying the higher rate due to their own lack of coordination. I was eventually removed from the only local team and reassigned to a travel-based role that wasn’t workable for me, despite being told by HR that I left in good standing. This year, I applied again for the same local project at the same $25/hr rate. I received an email saying I was a “perfect fit” and they were eager to talk, but once I replied, the recruiter never responded. This reinforced the ongoing lack of follow-through and internal communication. Proceed with caution if you value transparency and consistency

Benefit premium is high for a company this big. Pay could have been a little better.

The work is so inconsistent. The pay is great when you are actually working. You can go almost 2 months without working at this company. It’s hard to survive even at $25 an hour.

Lots of driving, roles changed early in the time I was there. Almost immediately.

Low pay, hard to get the route you want, promise of promotion with no follow through

Company is constantly changing their expectations and rules, as in literally weekly. Company has started a teams work call once a week and refuses to record it if not available to be on it because you were literally working on the clock. employees are no longer allowed to input admin time. This is time that is used for scheduling, checking the shipping of your stores, emails, checking teams and connect teams apps. Must either do this all without compensation or while checked into a store as a SFM are now required to work on Saturdays without notice and they want you to be available at the drop of a hat with pay less than working at McDonald’s. There is not much room for growth after this position. The next level up would be District Manager and those positions do not come often. Company also laid off a significant amount of people last year, including a quarter if not half of their DM‘s and are planning to do another round of layoffs for DM’s 2026. Do not see much more room for growth after becoming an SFM. Company does not provide a yearly hourly rate increase. Spring of 2025 I was finally given a 50 Cent raise, same as every other SFM and FM. This was the first raise. I’ve been given three years prior to becoming an SFM.

I would like to make more but hopefully in the near future, I will. Also, once I'm hired on full time, I hope to get more hours.
