Pros

Fast pace, some interesting technologies and products, some really good people. Can present excellent career opportunities if you find the right fit at the right time, but expect a lot of red tape and counterproductive behavior that is tolerated and part of the culture.

Cons

Horrible leadership, toxic culture, constantly changing priorities, focused mainly on acquisitions. You could burn yourself out trying to get things done while others make a career out of being obstructive and doing whatever they want.

Pros

certain executives and high-level leadership are very down to earth and helpful colleagues in my group are great to work with company mission statement is great the chaos creates a lot of opportunities if you're game for them culture has improved in my time here

Cons

chaotic growth of the company leads to unattainable goals, unmanaged workload. too many fires on too many different fronts legacy products are a nightmare to work on middle managers either don't know what they're talking about and/or are terrible at actually managing - my manager has no real pulse for my workload or what I'm working on despite my attempts to communicate, presumably because they're also drowning and don't have the time or mental resources to actually manage WAY too many acquisitions

Pros

medical device so you can feel good about providing products to patients who need them

Cons

Employee turnover is incredibly high and now I understand why firsthand. Very scattered and unorganized employer who sells really low end medical devices. Most of what's sold in the OB/GYN business unit is barely a medical device. The Urology business unit was held together by a single employee who left and took the customer rolodex with him. No CRM system even existed to document the customers. CHRO tells a great story about focusing on employee wellness but there's no substance/depth to that story.

Thanks for sharing feedback. I’m disappointed to hear you had a negative experience working at Laborie. As you pointed out, we're proud of our mission and we know our work matters. As a growing company, we’re also not without our challenges so we’re always looking at ways to make investments. We’re making good progress and continue to build programs that support employees.
