Pros

work from home decent training (for the low-level calls at least)

Cons

pay being super on your toes about every client interaction who expects you to be a robot and remember paragraphs of information, while the company always takes their side on matters, regardless of what nonsense they complain about

Pros

We can work from home. If you are an interpreter professional, this is a great place to sharpen your skills. Very flexible when you need some days or weeks or even months off from work. Relatively organized training and supervision. Company provides you with a computer and earphone, but you can't even use Google in that computer. Purely just for work.

Cons

Hour rate is way too low for such high intensity and high skill work. No pay raise even after 5 years. It has never raised a cent since the first day being there. No sick pay. No pension contributions. They pay almost the same whether you have decades of interpretation and translation experience with many professional certificates as those who just enter into the market. Not fair for interpretation professionals with certificates.

Low Pay

Pros

A lot of un-paid time off and sick time (also un-paid mostly).

Cons

The job is stressful and doesn’t pay well at all. My local McDonald’s pays almost as much to kids that have zero work experience. It’s a joke.
